Seminar on “SMARTH UDYOG Smart Manufacturing in India-Taking Stock to Look Ahead

The Department of Heavy Industry (DHI), Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Govt. of India has been promoting Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0.  As part of this initiatives DHI has supported four Smart Advanced Manufacturing and Rapid Transformation Hubs (SAMARTH) at CMTI, Bangalore, IISc Bangalore, IIT Delhi and Kirloskar, Pune. SAMARTH Udyog encompasses manufacturers, vendors and customers as the main stakeholders.

As part of this endeavour, the Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI), Bangalore organized a national level seminar titled “SMARTH UDYOG Smart Manufacturing in India- Taking Stock to Look Ahead” on May 08, 2019 at its campus. This seminar was inaugurated by Dr. A R Sihag, Secretary Department of Heavy Industry. Top management from industries successfully implementing smart manufacturing, leading technology solution providers and experts from across India shared their learnings at this Seminar.

Mr Rajesh Nath, Managing Director and Mr S Manohar, Regional Head South, VDMA India attended the seminar.
